openWRT notes

root@gluey:/etc/openvpn# openvpn /etc/openvpn/client.conf

eventually gets

need to install kmod-tun? (or vtun?) we'll do a bit of research...

Huh--from back when I installed openvpn. guess the module just didn't get loaded?

tried "insmod tun" and then "root@gluey:/etc/openvpn# openvpn /etc/openvpn/client.conf" again, and all is happy. right hunch!

et voila: I can ssh from nsrl1 to the router in my garage directly. sweet!

Now brick time. On 137.229.208.253 (brick 53)

apt-get install openvpn

Allow this to create the TUN/TAP device ("if you are using devfs refuse here"--not sure!)

Let it stop openvpn before upgrading

also had to

insmod tun

and this isn't coming on after a reboot..
