Introduction
This is the semi-hemi-demi-dreaded page 7 where I get to ask
simple-minded questions like:
If light is electromagnetic waves,
and if electromagnetic force is
transmitted by electromagnetic waves,
and if I can deflect the course of a
rolling metal ball with a magnet,
which is some electromagnetic force in
action,
then how many photons are required for such a deflection,
and how many deflections do I get
before my magnet is used up,
and what does it mean to use up a magnet anyway
???
Remembering that photons are not like anything I'm accustomed to, I
still can't see how one magnet can send a photon at another magnet
which induces that second magnet to move closer... boy do I suspect
this is some kinda can of worms.
