notes are incomplete until all of the experiments are actually done.
Basic
Results
Built a working cloud chamber, moderate track activity at 1800 meters
elevation (Boulder Colorado).
More activity using a radioactive nickel source... but not "lots and
lots" and not radial.
Trinitite produced more-than-ambient activity.
Smoke Alarm.
November 10, 2004 at about 2500 meters elevation: Very active (no extra
sources) after a period of high solar activity.

advanced matters
One of the conundrums I'm
trying to get ahold of is the distinctions and equivalencies of
different approaches to quantum mechanics. I found a nice though
brief derivation of a cloud chamber result and will try
and explain it to myself here.
